Pop Tarts combines sculpture with painting to create a unique blend of urban pop wit. Carol John works with paint on paper to create mod-colored layers of dots and smiley faces. Didi Dunphy uses 3d geometric forms softly upholstered in vinyl Naugahyde. Dunphy's mini-monumental forms are derived from a generalization of the giant, theatrical, masculine metal works of Post War American sculpture.
