"Mondrian" Pincushion

Directions:
Using the cross stitch method, complete the design. Remove from hoop and iron with light steam. Cut Aida cloth leaving an inch border around the design. Fold border towards back of design and iron the hem. Loop stitch around the edge of the canvas, pull snuggly. Stuff with pillow fill, pull loop stitch tight and knot. Using the thread and sewing needle, sew embroidery on to pincushion.

What you will need:
7 inch embroidery hoop
Aida cloth
18 point Embroidery floss, 2 strand
Canvas
Embroidery needle, thread and sewing needle

* = Blue
/= Red
X = Black
O = White
